Soccer Name Bag Tags
A layered soccer-ball tag generator designed for teams, fast name changes and minimal filament swaps.
What I’m building
The original requirement was simple: make ten-plus team tags without manually rebuilding every name. The result is a repeatable personalised design rather than a pile of hand-edited files.
The print-validated design is now available through the browser customiser, so personalising a tag no longer means editing the source model by hand.
What I’ve learned so far
- Automatic text fitting matters more than a single perfect font size.
- Colour layers need deliberate separation or the slicer creates stray islands and ugly colour contamination.
- A plain and decorated mode gives variation without maintaining separate designs.
A useful parametric design exposes the choices people need and protects the geometry that made the print reliable.
Using the customiser
- Enter one player name and choose the name colour.
- Generate the finished STL and multipart 3MF.
- Open the files in your slicer and apply your preferred print profile.
